idiocracy
I’ve admitted it before… I have a problem. The past few months have been littered with mindless tv shows, proving that the Writers Guild of America is the most important association in this country. Ok, that may be taking it too far, but when they withhold their talents, we (US Americans) get dumber. It’s not our fault, it’s the tv shows we had to choose from during the WGA strike.
Now that the real shows are prepping for their return, I offer my homage to the shows that I’ll never forget (but will not miss) from the writers strike:
8th-grade gym class
pick a number
are you smarter than a first-grader
can anybody find the tune
salsa me fuego
just because we’re rich, doesn’t mean we’re smart

and most of all:
pull my finger

indiana jones and the rained out weekend

the weekend hopes of adventure were dashed by mother nature, so we had an indiana jones marathon, sans-doom temple. the dudette and little dudes are now primed for the glorious ride that will be released in may.

Today (Valentine’s Day) my daughter came home from school with two boxes of chocolates given to her by a boy. I’m sorry, I misspoke. Today my 10-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER came home with two boxes of chocolates given to her BY A BOY! I have so many different responses to that, that I actually have no response. Wait… I just thought of one. It’s really freaky to virtually drive into your high school parking lot. The last time that I drove into Robert E. Lee High it was 1990, and I’m pretty sure I was wearing Hammer pants.
indiana jones and the empire strikes back
This weekend, we (the little dudes and me) finally connected the glorious Wii to the internets. Sadly, Webkinz do not play well with our tv. The little dudes had really been looking forward to living out their furry little secondlives in the middle of the den, but it just wasn’t gonna happen.
