On the crazy return to Mecca, I really enjoyed listening to The Sex Lives of Cannibals: Adrift in the Equatorial Pacific by J. Maarten Troos.
A little bit Lemony Snickett, and a little bit David Sedaris… How’s that for a cocktail?
If you have a vacation in your near future, and you need to people watch from 10,000 miles away, I give this a high recommendation.
